I have looked at other diets and this diet is not anything different, It is still a 1600 calorie diet. the most obvious item that I noticed is the name dropping that occurs in this book. I also don’t think that the average person could even find half of the “organic” ingredients this diet requires much less afford the same. Dr B is the worst WORST diet anyone can go on.PLEASE TAKE THIS AS A WARNING DR. BERNSTEIN IS DANGEROUS. The results were quick and as promised but I don’t know anyone who hasn’t had some sort of side effect. For myself, I followed everyword of the diet, my hair started falling out and thinning, I would get black outs, popping more vitamin and potassium pills than a person should. I developed an allergy to the shot, i couldn’t exercise because they recommend you don’t because you’re living off 800 calories a day. Skin sagged and as soon as my family MD told me to stop the weight started coming back even though i was eating healthy. Skin sags etc. i’m 22!!! and had the body of a 35 year old when skin starts sagging.

Exercises targeting the belly are not enough to help you lose belly fat. You cannot target fat loss; you cannot lose fat from one specific area by thinking about it. It’s like saying you don’t want to drive to where you’re going you want to teleport there. It’s not going to happen. Sit-ups, crunches and core work are not going to miraculously blast belly fat. If it did, a lot less people, would have a belly. Exercises like crunches do not target belly fat, they target belly muscle (i.e. abs). They will make your muscles bigger, but that helps little if they are hiding beneath a layer of fat. However, once you’ve lost the belly fat, those exercises will pay off. But, the first step is to lose belly fat.

Pour 1 cup of boiling water over 1 teaspoon of dried dandelion leaves. Let simmer for 10 minutes, then strain out the leaves. Squeeze 2 tablespoons of lemon juice into the tea and add some honey for a sweetener.

Sugar is one thing you should greatly reduce, if not omit from your daily platter. There are many sources of hidden sugar, so it’s a good idea to reduce sugar. Use alternatives like honey, palm sugar, and licorice extract.

Fucoxanthin fights fat in two ways; first, it encourages the action of protein, UCP1, that causes fat oxidation and is found in the type of fat that surrounds organs. Secondly, fucoxanthin promotes DHA production in the liver. Increased DHA, an omega 3 fatty acid type, can help with decreasing bad cholesterol or LDL.
