Hello! After having my son, I began counting calories and working out about 4 times a week. I did lose 20 lbs, but my stomach never got flat. I don’t want to lose too much more weight, but I would like to really get my stomach back flat. What can I do?
If only I was strong enough to follow your regime but I am weak 1000 calls a day would leave we headachy and irritable so fed up my eating has become a bad habit and I am sick of it I only need to lose one stone😂
1. Avoid low-fat or fat-free salad dressings. These dressings replace the oils that you would normally find in a salad dressing with sugar. Instead, use extra virgin olive oil. You can mix it with a variety of different vinegars to change the flavor of your salad dressings. Some of my favorites are balsamic, red wine, or tarragon vinegar. Bonus: Vinegar helps control blood sugar, which will further help with your weight-loss efforts.
Follow the 80/20 rule. This rule says to have a small splurge 20 percent of the time, but this splurge must be within reason. If every 5 days you eat an entire pizza and a gallon of ice cream, you’re going to gain weight back no matter what you do the rest of the week.
All of these take a toll on your metabolism and ability to control levels of body fat. If you’re up against large amounts of stress in your life (from work, lack of sleep, relationships, finances, etc.), studies show you can greatly benefit from carving out more time in your busy stress relievers like regular exercise, meditation, spending time outdoors and keeping up with fun hobbies.
Start by cutting back on ultra-processed foods, bubbly drinks, gum, and sugary beverages. While no single food can “spot train” belly fat, some smart swaps can ease bloating, improve gut health (eliminating cramps and gas!), and help you feel less puffy. Fill up on these foods instead…

In a nut shell, this book gives the advise to eat four, 400 calorie meals a day and to never go for more than 4 hours with out eating. The author claims that eating a monounsatrurated (MUFA)fat with every meal will target your belly fat. (examples of MUFAS are olives, olive oil, almonds, avacados, etc..) this is an unproven idea. MUFAS are good for you anyway, so what can it hurt right? i actually liked this book and think it has some good ideas.
I just want to know if it really helps lose weight eating high protein breakfast till the moment I just wake up in the morning, drink coffee and start off my day eating nothing until noon as a way to take off some extra pounds.

I’m very interested in your program and I will start tomorrow. My favorite part is the healthy eating. I have a question, I imagine the out meal is plain with no milk, how do you make it? Also, how many times a day you eat fruit? Any kind?
Don’t let extra hours lounging in bed stand between you and a flatter belly. While getting enough sleep can help boost your metabolic rate, sleeping in may undo any benefit you’d enjoy from catching a few extra winks. One study reveals that late sleepers who snoozed past 10:45 in the morning ate nearly 250 more calories over the course of the day, despite eating half as many fruits and vegetables as their early bird counterparts. Even worse, they chowed down on more salty, sugary, and trans fat-laden fast food than those who woke up earlier. If you happen to head out of the house early, you’re in for an additional metabolic boost; researchers at Northwestern University have found that people exposed to just a short period of early morning sunlight had lower BMIs than their late-waking counterparts.
Fruit is my favourite food, so when Toronto-area grocer Longo’s volunteered to send over some of their fancy new apples, I couldn’t say no. They’re called Hidden Rose apples, and while they look pretty standard on the outside, the inside is a vibrant pink that will brighten fruit salads and impress any pink-loving little girls […]
Please remember you cannot loose belly fat by doing crash diet and only by diet. Little bit of exercise is required and you should take food according to your calorie intake.( Differs from person to person).
High-intensity interval training combines short, high-intensity bursts of exercise, with slow, recovery phases repeated throughout one short 15–20 minute session. It’s done at 85–100 percent of one’s maximum heart rate rather than 50–70 percent in moderate endurance activity.
“My No. 1 tip: Do the ball exchange three times a week. Lay flat on your back with your arms above your head and legs straight out. Start with a stability ball above your head in your hands. Bring the ball up above your chest as you bring your legs up to meet the ball and place it between your ankles. Bring the ball back down to the floor with your legs and straighten your arms back out over your head.
There are two types of fiber. The first type is soluble fiber which dissolves in water during digestion. It slows down the process of digestion helping you feel full faster and for a longer time period which is great for weight loss*. The second kind is insoluble fiber which doesn’t dissolve in water but produces a laxative effect. It helps improve* digestive health and prevent constipation. Studies found that there is a direct link between eating fiber and visceral fat. People who consumed less fiber tend to have more visceral fat.
You need to detoxify your liver because a stressed liver cannot metabolize fat effectively and which gets deposited around your waistline. Lemon water excellently increases enzymes that detoxify your liver so that it may carry out its basic functions efficiently.
Hot peppers have a flavorless chemical called capsaicin. It’s more plentiful in habaneros, but jalapeños also have it. Capsaicin seems to curb appetite and speed up metabolism slightly, but only for a short time. It probably doesn’t have a big impact on weight, unless you eat less food because it’s spicy.
To stave off hunger, to ensure your body is getting sufficient nutrition and to avoid it from holding onto fat reserves too tightly, eat little and often. Skipping breakfast and even lunch, may seem like a good idea, but in the end almost all of us end up making up for those missed meals and then some. Skipping meals will negatively impact blood sugar levels, and in turn, reduce willpower. Studies show that people who miss breakfast are less successful at losing weight than those who fuel up first thing in the morning.
Many fast-food options are typically high-fat, calorie-dense foods that are eaten in large portions — all of which contribute to overconsumption of calories, weight gain, and an increase in belly fat when eaten frequently. Many fast-food restaurants don’t provide nutritional information, but studies have shown that when this is available, people tend to pick lower-calorie meals.

To make this exercise more challenging, draw as big a circle as your can, starting from directly above your hips to brining your legs as low to the ground as you can, while maintaining control and good form.
One major problem with this diet is that it oversells the concept that MUFAs magically help you lose belly fat, says Sandon. And while there is a chapter on the benefits of exercise, the Flat Belly Diet only emphasizes eating MUFAs to lose weight and claims that not a single crunch is required. “There is nothing on stress management or lifestyle,” says Jamieson-Petonic. “Monounsaturated fat is not a silver bullet for weight loss.”
If you lead a very busy life, it can be very difficult to include healthy, fat-burning foods as part of your daily diet. Try to form a battleplan on your days off that includes a healthy breakfast, high-protein snacks, and balanced meals. Ideally, you want to eat something about every three hours to keep your metabolism going strong. Also, remember to schedule that all-important decompression and sleep time at the end of the day to help your body recoup and burn that belly fat!
1. Stand up straight. Heeding Mom’s advice can make you look 5 pounds thinner (and your abs flatter) instantly. To straighten up, imagine a string tugging you from the top of your head toward the ceiling.
You’ll find lean, satiating protein in every single bite you take on Zero Belly Diet. The muscle-building macronutrient is fundamental to the plan, and eggs happen to be one of the easiest and most versatile delivery systems in the universe. Not only that, they’re also the number-one dietary source of a nutrient called choline. Choline, which is found also in lean meats, seafood and collard greens, attacks the gene mechanism that triggers your body to store fat around your liver. One Zero Belly Diet recipe—a breakfast hash with sweet potatoes and fresh farm eggs—became test panelist Morgan Minor’s go-to breakfast, and after just 3 weeks on the program, the female firefighter lost 11 pounds and 4 inches from her waist! The more eggs you eat, the less egg-shaped you get.
A longtime enemy of doctors and pork has been coming around as a healthier alternative of late–as long as you choose the right cut. Your best bet is pork tenderloin: A University of Wisconsin Study found that a three-ounce serving of pork tenderloin has slightly less fat than a skinless chicken breast. It has 24 grams of protein per serving and 83 mg of choline. In a study published in the journal Nutrients, scientists asked 144 overweight people to eat a diet rich in fresh lean pork. After three months, the group saw a significant reduction in waist size, BMI and belly fat, with no reduction in muscle mass! They speculate that the amino acid profile of pork protein may contribute to greater fat burning.
