You wouldn’t have to straight up tell them that you are trying to lose weight. You could tell them you are eating healthy and exercising because you want to live a healthier lifestyle. Everyone’s bodies are shaped differently, don’t feel like you have to look like a model. God made you the way you are out of his own image and likeness. Also, don’t be afraid to tell your parents the truth. Maybe you could exercise WITH your parents and help them lose some weight too!
a. This is similar to what we call the cat stretch pose. This is also known as the four-point, transverse-abdominal stomach vacuum. Follow the steps mentioned below to do this exercise for reducing belly fat:

Couscous, spaghetti, and cornflakes are made from refined grains (though whole-grain options may be available). But popcorn is a whole-grain food that can boost fiber. The best way to prepare popcorn is with an air-popper, which requires no oil for cooking. Read labels to see what oils have been added to microwave popcorn.
In addition to structured exercise, commit to a lifestyle that’s physically active. Take up a hobby, such as dance or golf, that keeps you moving. Fidgeting as well as walking regularly also helps increase your daily calorie burn so you control belly fat.
I have been training for the last 4 month. Your 90 sec abs exercise and stationary bike 10 minute exercise. I was on 95 kg and I lost 10kg. My wife diagnosed with Diabetes started the same exercises and lost 11kg and blood sugar levels have been stable. Thank you for your Youtube clips.
Starch and sugar (SS) combined with fat (Ft) may represent the worst combination for fat gain. Starches and sugar raise insulin levels and fat is relatively neutral. In other words, while fat supplies calories by itself, it has little to no impact on insulin production. But when fat is added to sugar and starch (think doughnuts, French fries, pizza and burgers), you get higher calories, more insulin exposure and lose the ability to feel satisfied. Insulin and fat also independently raise another fat storing hormone called ASP (acylation stimulating protein), and when they are combined, they drastically enhance another fat storing hormone called GIP (glucose dependent insulinotrophic peptide). Add stress (St) on top of this and the impact is multiplied, further forcing excess calories around the belly.
Sugar, refined grains and saturated and trans fats contribute to belly fat development. A study published in a 2012 issue of the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics showed postmenopausal women who changed their eating behavior to eat fewer desserts, sugar-sweetened beverages and fried foods, and who ate out at restaurants less often, experienced the most weight loss. The AARP recommends cutting out the “five C’s” — candy, cookies, cake, cola and chips — as an easy way to curb your intake of many of these foods.
The Flat Belly Diet has little research out on its effectiveness. Of the studies that can be found, the weight loss success seems to be in line with the Mediterranean Diet, which is what the Flat Belly Diet is sort of modeled after. While the Flat Belly Diet does seem as though it might work for a short-term weight loss solution, the long-term effectiveness is in doubt.*
Want a flatter stomach in two seconds? Stand up straight! Slouching emphasizes belly rolls but straightening your spine elongates your whole body, making you look taller and sleeker. Want to go even flatter for a picture? Use the old modeling trick and arch your back slightly—this will pull your skin tighter across your stomach while moving it farther away from the camera, making it look slightly smaller. Yeah, it’s a temporary fix but good posture offers many health benefits beyond looking good.
Thanks for the kind words Erika – just been filing through all the comments here so apologize for the delay. The following are just my thoughts (i’m sure some will disagree but whatever) — If my main goal is to burn fat. I mean – get rid of the stomach abnormality I’m doing whatever I can to eliminate sugar from my diet. So, while I eat fruit… I don’t add additional things like honey. Doesn’t mean honey isn’t healthy – I’m just talking in terms of my fat loss goal. As far as spinach wrap (yukkkk!). Sorry, but most wraps will do nothing for your fat loss goal but make it worse… I think you’re trying to eat a little too much like a bird (unless your a vegan or are avoiding meat for personal beliefs) I be making sure I’m adding proteins to each meal. Why? Because in my experience you burn more fat with substance. As far as smart balance and things like that I won’t really go into that, but I have my personal opinions and they aren’t favorable to the vast majority of processed “alternative” spreads. Bottom line – to burn fat. I’m talking if I… Read more »
Many people chew gum as a way to stifle cravings or prevent mindless eating but this tactic may have an unfortunate side effect: belly bloat. Everyone naturally swallows a small amount of air when they chew but it’s magnified for people who chew gum, which causes gas and bloating. Visceral fat is also called “organ fat” or “intra-abdominal fat” — and it’s one of the primary reasons why you must learn how to lose belly fat. This stubborn fat lies in close proximity to the vital organs of the body, including the liver, kidneys and other digestive organs, meaning it’s a real health concern. Fat is actually similar to an organ, in that it releases compounds in the blood and alters hormone levels. (4)

For exercise, make your dominant form of activity fast-paced metabolically demanding weight training. Weight training done the right way is better at burning fat, balancing hormones and is great for your heart.
Don’t pass by the sweet taste of cinnamon, it won’t build your fat. Indeed, cinnamon will help lessen your general muscle to fat ratio, including the belly fat. Cinnamon is a thermogenic. Of course you know that protein’s essential for a slimmer you and essential for losing belly fat—you couldn’t have made it through the Paleo and South Beach crazes without hearing all about it. But here’s why protein really needs to play a prime roll on your plate: “Your body starts to produce more insulin as you age, since your muscle and fat cells aren’t responding to it properly,” explains Louis Aronne, MD, Director of the Obesity Clinic at Cornell. And insulin promotes fat storage, especially around your belly TOOL DOES NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE. Although we need cortisol for some essential functions, too much can contribute to fat accumulation around the midsection, increase appetite in some people, interfere with sleep quality and have other negative effects.

Out-of-whack hormones have all kinds of uncomfortable side effects and belly bloat is one of them. There’s a reason that bloating is one of the primary complaints women have during menopause! While you can’t turn back the clock and reclaim the hormone profile of your 20’s, you can make sure you’re within the normal range—something your doctor can check for you. (Before your appointment, know these signs of a thyroid disorder). In the meantime, eating right and exercising are natural ways to balance your hormones.
Foods rich in the amino acid leucine can help build the lean muscle mass that’s needed to trim excess fat from your frame, according to Jennifer McDaniel MS, RDN, CSSD, LD. It literally jumpstarts the process of developing muscle mass—and red meats are one of the best sources around. Go grass-fed to get the added benefits of omega-3s and conjugated linoleic acids — these two fatty acids help to decrease the inflammation in your body that causes fat storage.

Processed foods are one of the biggest sources of salt in Americans’ diets—and the scary part is you probably don’t even realize it. Because of the way these addictive foods are formulated, salt is hidden in everything from soups to pasta sauces to even sweet things like boxed cakes. Swap out processed foods in favor of fresh fare and your tummy will thank you. Not only will you lose the salt-bloat but you’ll also lose the extra empty calories and lose weight.
The next part of the plan aims to reduce inflammation. Belly fat has been linked to inflammation and elevated cortisol (the stress hormone). Belly fat is even thought to be “toxic” to your system as it releases chemicals into your body that wreak havoc on your appetite and the way your body metabolizes food. That’s why anti-inflammatory foods are thought to be effective in fighting belly fat and breaking the vicious cycle.
Eggs, plain yogurt (Greek yogurt is higher in protein than regular), 1/2 cup of beans or lentils, 4 oz tofu or tempeh, 1/2 cup quinoa. Keep in mind that most food contains protein and your body can only assimilate about 25 grams at a time, so if you are planning your meals around whole plant based foods, you will get enough protein (for example, kale has 2.9g of protein in 1 cup, sweet potato has 2.1g in 1 cup), and so forth.
As you probably know, the supplement industry is notorious for its lies and shenanigans. The truth is the majority of the supplements you see in the magazines and on the shelves aren’t going to help you reach your goals faster.
